KidStage auxiliary staff, coaches, and directors are some of the most passionate and talented individuals in the industry. This coupled with their love for Education and the Performing Arts ensure that your child will not only have a great experience with KidStage, but also one that will indeed be memorable.

Mark & Karen Cain
KidStage Founders, Owners, and Directors

Mark and Karen met in 1997 performing in the taming of the shrew at the Red Barn Theatre in Rice Lake Wisconsin and from that moment have worked in developing the very best youth theatre program in the nation.

KidStage has locations all around the country and reaches thousands of children each year. KidsSage has a mission of providing all children the opportunity to grow in self confidence and creativity throught the performing arts. Mark has a Masters Degree in Education and directs classes at Houdini Elementary, Ferber Elementary, and Janet Berry Elementary. He also works with all the KidStage casts at their dress rehearsals before each showcase.

Joe Engels
KidStage Director

Joe engels has been a director with kidstage since 2007. His teaching style is to run a fun, but structured class that develops a greater confidence in his young actors and creates a performance that meets all comfort and skill levels. Some of his favorite productions include: ‘willy wonka,’ ‘the wizard of oz,’ and ‘beauty and the beast.’ joe is also the musical theatre director for j.R. Gerritts middle school in kimberly. He also has directing experience from papermaker players family theatre. Joe also has acting experience, as he has appeared on stage in numerous plays and musicals for both papermaker players, and attic theatre. Joe directs kidstage evening program in kimberly and the teenstage program.
